Bonne nouvelle pour certains, mauvaise pour d'autres, CnC Israël nous signale que Victory Games vient de publier une offre d'emploi pour un poste de manageur sur les aspects de "monétisation" pour la franchise Command & Conquer. Tout laisse à penser qu'on aura donc assez rapidement des infos sur ce qui sera à vendre dans le free2play Command & Conquer prévu pour 2013.

Victory Games is looking for a talented, motivated Monetization Manager for the Command and Conquer franchise. An ideal candidate is passionate about collaborating with game teams to create a high quality and most important FUN gameplay experience for our users while also optimizing and refining the game economy. An ideal candidate has previous experience working with virtual economies in other online games.


- Own the creation and management of the monetization strategy; post launch evolve this strategy based on daily user data in order to maximize revenue while not sacrificing overall user experience

- Real time management of store inventory and player purchasing experience

- Optimize and refine the in-game economy using analytical models, internal data and player metrics; work in collaboration with our Live team and Design to apply this - knowledge to ongoing gameplay offerings

- Create promotions, in conjunction with Community, Marketing and the Live team, that drive purchasing engagement through the store as well as within the wider game experience

- Design and drive A/B testing for existing and new monetization opportunities; work with the Live team and design to implement results in-game

- Interact with players on a regular basis to engage them in helping shape monetization initiatives

- Evaluate the competitor landscape to determine industry benchmarking; use this knowledge to refine and improve internal best practices

- Work closely with the Live Producer and Analytics to assess user data and look to continuously improve upon KPIs through understanding of what strategies drive specific metrics

- Drive and develop pricing models; work with Finance and Operations to forecast revenue based on game data

- Create performance reports/dashboards to share with team and the greater EA audience

- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and overall excellence


- Experience creating and managing compelling digital store fronts that build awareness and conversion of digital content

- Understanding of player psychology as well as broad monetization motivations

- Superior analytical skills; including the ability to analyze raw data and developing models to identify and interpret findings

- Data driven decision making mentality – ability to develop hypothesis, test and determine business action

- Ability to change and quickly adapt strategy based on data

- Incredibly strong collaboration and organizational skills – especially the ability to express their ideas and get buy-in

- Strong ‘go-getter´ who can work with minimal supervision in order to get things done

Ideal Qualifications

- Passionate gamer (strategy gamer is even better!) who has worked on prior online games

- Background in analytics or business intelligence

- Experience with Databases and/or Tableau

Le truc qui me fait peur c'est qu'ils recrutent le monetizateur que maintenant.

Les mec ont construit un F2P sans avoir réfléchis au modèle économique avant.

Pour moi la logique ça aurait été de réfléchir aux forfait payant AVANT de choisir de transformer le jeu en F2P, parce que si aucune bonne idée ne sort un jeu solo de base est mieux. Là on dirait qu'ils se sont lancés sur du F2P juste pour pénétrer le marché.
